Towards the end of the tournament the command centers printer went on the fritz....

Results from our 2015 Halloween Tournament.

There were 31 brave souls, that came out during our Halloween Haunt. A great turn out for Bishop Timon St. Jude's  first rated chess tournament. Although we did have a couple of lost souls who never found their way to the chess boards. Hhhmmmm... must have been all that candy we were feeding them.
We split the players into three crazy groups; The Open, The Unrated and The Under 1000.

Results to the "2015 CCB Summer Bash"

We had a good turn-out for the 2nd Annual "Country Club of Buffalo's Summer Chess Tournament"

A huge THANK YOU to The General Manager of the CCB, Timothy Minahan, for sponsoring  the trophies and opening the doors to the best club in Western NY.

The tournament attracted over a dozen players and friends from around the area. We placed them in three sections ranging from the novice Unrated... to the experts in the Open.

In the Unrated section the winners were:

In the U1000 Rated Section:

2015 Mother's Day Tournament at SEM

First and foremost HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all our wonderful mom's out there who make these events possible for their children. 
The Buffalo Seminary hosted their third annual mothers day tournament, proving that chess is alive and growing at the school.

A huge Thank You to Mrs. Marlette for sponsoring the tournament at Sem.
