Spooky tournament brought spooky results. Our players came to show their real faces at the Halloween tournament. The winners were:

Hispanic Month Winners

2013 Mothers Day Tournament RESULTS

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful chess mom's. This 2013 tournament marked our 5th Mothers Day tournament since the birth of this chess club. I can't think of a better name for an affiliate that remembers, and honors the mothers of young chess players than "QueensKnight".  Hope that images can tell a story, louder than words...

Results...2013 Chess at The Buffalo Seminary.....Results

This past Saturday The Buffalo Seminary hosted their first chess tournament. The tournament brought out 16 enthusiastic players, for many their first time visiting the Seminary. The players were curious about the new location, but more anxious to prove who was the stronger player that sunny day.

A huge THANK YOU to MRS. MARLETTE, for sponsoring the tournament in such a beautiful location, both the chess room (The community room/ locker area) and the skittles room (The Library) were just stellar. The Trophies, fantastic, and the atmosphere inspiring. THANK YOU MRS. MARLETTE.

An Extra-Ordinary tournament for extraordinary players. What was to be a small gathering turned out to be a spring party of chess fanatics. Mr. Warner brought his team from Pioneer and Queensknight players brought theirs. Here is how they ended up:

2013 St. Patrick's Day RESULTS

The 2013 St. Patrick's Day Chess Tournament was held on March 9th. We had several enthusiastic young leprechauns playing for gold, and here is how they ended up.

Pioneer Wins The 2013 Blizzard Bowl

The 2013 Blizzard Bowl was definitely played in blizzard like conditions. Pioneer Central came and proved their dominance and readiness for The New York State Scholastic Championship, in Saratoga. Both sections were fought long and hard, but nevertheless PIONEER won both the U750 and U1500 Blizzard Bowl Trophies.

2nd Annual "Blizzard Challenge" RESULTS

Wow !!!  It really didn't feel like a Blizzard since it was a balmy 60 degrees outside but our chess players made the best of it. A HUGE THANK YOU is in order to The Wilson Family and "Sonwil Distributions" for sponsoring such a wonderful event for a second year.   The Chess players, parents and coaches got to meet Mr. Wilson thanking him personally and getting to know our sponsor a lot better.

Now without further ado here are the results to "The 2nd Annual Blizzard Challenge"

INDIVIDUAL WINNERS WERE:

In the K-5 section the champion was Ashton William.

The champion K-5 team was Global Concepts. The four top members were, Roman Castle, Alexis Burgos, Ashton William, and Armando Martinez.

The champion K-8 team was Pioneer Central. The four top members were, Bradley Schrock, Douglas Ward, Maxwell Peters, Todd Thompson.

The champion K-12 team was Pioneer Central. The four top members were, Ryan and Zachary Madden, Carl Raymore, Chris Darling.
