THANK YOU Chess Players of Western New York. Buffalo Seminary
hosted a great tournament this Second Saturday in November, showing over 30
enthusiastic players that it can host a big chess competition. The 2014 Fall
Festival brought together players from Yorkshire, Clarence, Lackawanna, Buffalo,
Tonawanda, Cheektowaga, and as far as Syracuse, NY.
This tournament was divided into four sections and one side
section. The 1200 section was split into two a U1200 and a U600 to give
opportunities to younger rated players. Following are the winners in each
section and a initial link to register in The WNY Chess Championship coming up
next month. More info on that tournament to follow.
